Great find.

Am I going mad though or is the font they developed and show on that site (ITV Display Sans) not exactly the same as what we're seeing used, especially online?

Also I love how the animation where they show how they manually customised the numerals for the channels, yet the unmodified "1" is used in-vision on the screen, only being seen in the actual logo in modified form. That's one of the most annoying parts of the rebrand for me!

Overall I think they had a good vision with the different channels and overall style but the idents really let the package down, as well as failure to update the end credits of shows and ITV News etc to the new font, like they did in 2013.

I found the case study for the ITV rebrand recently, which shows the process of the rebrand from concept to final, and how DixonBaxi reintroduced ITV to 'modern' Britain.

Interestingly, there's a prototype for "ITV Kids", which means CITV might be getting a rename soon?

Overall, I think the case study is good, and I'd love to see if DixonBaxi could update STV to go along with this look, maybe with idents set in Scotland? Forth Rail Bridge? Glasgow Greens? Spitballing here.

No, you're absolutely right. It isn't quite the same and it's been annoying me since they launched the website.

The custom font seems to be based on a commercially available typeface but for some reason they're using the latter online instead of the custom one. It's bizarre.

Noteworthy that the brand new ITVX shows (A Spy Among Friends, etc) that dropped today continue to use Reem for the end credits font. I wonder if it'll ever be phased out there.

Well at least the city scene ident makes a little more sense now we see more added. Think they rushed things to air a bit too quickly as this is a package that needs a lot of variation to work.
