I guess it's difficult to know when to logically end the festive idents when New Year's Day is on a Sunday and the following day is a substitute bank holiday.

It would probably make sense to revert to standard idents either tomorrow or on Tuesday morning.

A dark blue CITV logo just popped up on Logopedia, saying it's the 2023 logo for it.

I personally don't believe it, and I don't think anybody here trusts Logopedia.

Could anyone here confirm or deny this?

Definitely vandalism. The edit claimed it would launch today, had no source. Someone there already reverted it and deleted the image.

These multi channel idents are really not working. That train one especially does not fit ITV1 at all. It’s a good idea in principle but poor execution. I honestly don’t think it’ll be long until they get some new idents on air, especially on ITV1. They fit more ITV2 and Be. I’ve never been keen on them since they introduced them last year and they haven’t grown on me at all.

Whilst I'm one of the few people who does actually like the current set of ITV idents, the ITV1 train ident jarrs really badly when introducing programmes that aren't light entertainment/family oriented.

It's fine before the likes of The Masked Singer and The Chase, but for programmes with "shocking scenes of terror" they really should be going for a more sombre ident, such as the first two installments of Cityscape. Even Rural would be more appropriate.
