Where does it say anywhere that you can't use CGI?
Mind you the title of the programme is "Britain's Got Talent", but we see a international talent on it so if they're going to be fluid on that aspect, then everything else goes out the window, surely?

And then you have the pre-recorded segments of some acts like the Parkour one earlier in the week.

Why do they put the final on Sunday? Surely it would make more sense to have it on the Saturday like they used to pre-2013, especially as they only have a repeat of The Chase in its place.

Think it wound up on Sunday one year for some reason (might have been a football clash) and they found it rated better there so have stuck with it since.

Think it works quite well, the night off makes it a bit fairer for those who only get through on Friday and gives everyone (including production) a bit more breathing room. They tried doing Sunday to Thursday with a Saturday final a couple of times but it didn’t seem to work as well ratings wise.

As for The Chase repeat I suspect that’s only there because the FA Cup Final is kicking off a lot earlier than expected (3pm). They were probably planning for a kick off at about 5.30pm as normal.

I think it's something to do with giving the Friday acts some time to rehearse their act, so it's a bit fairer.

As Score says, I always assumed the final was held off until Sunday to give the finalists who won on Thursday and Friday a chance to rehearse a new performance.

Well I think we’ve just had a ‘jump the shark’ moment.

All of that palaver for what was essentially a glorified publicity stunt. How bizarre.

By dint of timing, I've always thought of Britain's Got Talent being just a few years behind The X Factor. It's about time to give it a (permanent) rest.

And to top it off, judges buzzing an act because the screen they saw was too small (and out of the act's control entirely).
