Hungary's TV2 had a great look for their main newscast, Tenyek, in late 90s /early 00s. Loved watching it as a kid, even though I couldn't understand a thing, except for some basic words. This is a good example of a look and set that would still look fine today.

CTS News Channel in Taiwan (on the controversial cable Ch.52) refreshed their graphics back in mid-March, replacing the solid blue and green lower thirds with fading light aqua. The CTS logotype is also redesigned, deviating from the masterbrand.

Before (regional weather on the left hand side box, which can also be the programme tag; headline on the right): https://youtu.be/oIOiHNIAzbU

After (now the left side box also doubles as the ticker, a common - but ugly - design choice by Taiwanese news channels): https://youtu.be/w0OFKeK56qY

Channel continuity and TOTH news open (at 2000): https://youtu.be/zdwzfmWTIRU

In Kyiv, local TV channel KyivTV's newscast, Kyiv24, had a little rebrand, replacing their flower symbol and their wordmark with a ring. Not much is changed on the lower thirds - only the opens.

A little clarification, Kyiv TV removes its legendary chestnut leaf icon on 20 January 2023, replacing just a pink dot. I don't know why?

TV5 in Philippines rebranded opens for News5 Alerts and prime time newscast Frontline Pilipinas, both utilizing the same angled orange lower thirds:

It'd be better if you can provide us the source as well Wink :

From what I've read, the 'W' in the name probably stands for its increased focus in World news, but also on health and finance judging by the new titles. The weekend morning news in KBS1 is also changing in June, from two newscasts at 6 and 8 to one at 7:
Quote:From the 29th, KBS will increase news content and change the broadcasting time of entertainment programs through a reorganization in the first half of the year.

KBS 2TV presents a new comprehensive news program, 'KBS News 6', Monday through Thursday at 6:00 PM. 1TV plans to provide international current affairs information by establishing 'KBS Newsline W'. News times are also shifting. From June 11, 1TV's 'Sunday morning 7 o'clock news' replaces the 6 and 8 o'clock news, and delivers weekend morning news.

The live current affairs talk show 'The Live' will be expanded to 60 minutes and moved to 2TV. 'The Live' will increase the broadcasting time to deal with the issues of the day in depth, and further strengthen the aspect of 'current affairs entertainment' in line with the nature of the 2TV channel. The new 'The Live' will be broadcast for the first time on June 12th.

Speaking of KBS, what happened to them revealing their new corporate logo? It's meant to come into use in September.

Over in Hong Kong, Good Morning Hong Kong, TVB's morning news programme, has a new opening alongside the news bulletin sections (sorry for the potato recording: this is the best one I could find so far):

The generic news opens on their News Channel (FTA Ch.83) also changed, now going for 3D blocks instead of the globe:

(The 1900 Newshour as for example; same opening across news bulletins at 0900/lunchtime/late night, but with different Chinese branding)

I guess the new GMHK intro fits with the backdrop (which has been that way for years!) but I have to say it is a bit of a downgrade.

I do like the more dramatically edited one from when the program became the newsy format it is today from 1994.

The 2006 was nice with scenes of HK without any (odd) graphics choices.

Whilst the 2010 one's flat design is better than the odd 3D they've gone with ever since.

I do find it funny how over the years (especially visible in the 2006 video), you can see how they've slowly shifted right in the studio from the skyline backdrop to the plant one (not too sure what it's supposed to be to be honest!).

Worth noting that the main evening set is located just the to left (well sort of opposite) to the GMHK set in the same studio with one of the flash sets in one of the other corners.
