There's also a breaking news intro in yellow. Shame they can't get rid of the old running news bar and clock and replace it with a new one cos it's kinda taking up much of the space for the new graphics.

Looks like we have the people who worked on the TV 2 News rebrand. It was made by Stupid Studio, with implementation and sound design made in-house by TV 2.

Re TV2: Basically a mix of BBC's red and cream colour palette, the 2008 globe, the current ring animation and Sky's breaking news colour.

I like it though - considering both the current BBC News graphics and the TV2 corporate rebrand itself are disappointing than expected.

Indeed, it looks too BBC-like. This should have been the way the BBC had updated their graphics for the new BBC News channel. As for such, I'm surprised the sets (from Mads Hage Thomsen) haven't been changed, the desks have that old TV 2 design feeling, but they still look really neat.

And, as for the ticker, this might be teething last minute problems. The newsbar and clock are generated at a MCR level.

VRT CANVAS' current affairs programme Terzake also got a new set and a fresh new look, bringing it in line with the rest of VRT NWS. The new set will also be used for other shows such as De Afspraak and soon Zevende Dag.
