There was rolling coverage on the commercials and ABC news channel with extended evening bulletins throughout the weekend. And all ABC state 7pm bulletins were extended on Sunday given these events and Iran-Israel.

Rolling news mode

And an example of state ABC bulletins

It's official: Stuff will be making Three's 6pm bulletin after July 6. It'll be an hour on weekdays and half on weekends.

It'll not be Newshub in name, but they'll use their existing studio before building their own, as well as hiring about 40 Newshub people.

It's quite a price to pay in terms of job losses - and Stuff is itself not in the best of health financially - but at least it will crucially retain some kind of TV news plurality.

The deal doesn't include the Sky Open news at 5.30pm, which still appears to be up in the air.

Presumably the 6pm rates better than moving it to another time away from TVNZ’z last remaining bulletin.

We now have a date for 10's late news: Starting from April 29, it'll be hosted by senior journalist Ursula Heger. The mooted 10 at 10 name is also scrapped for 10('s) Late News (no First).

From the behind-the-scenes rehearsals shared on their socials, looks like the bulletin will be coming from the football show studio:

Further to all this, the first promo is now out, albeit with music that is a pretty odd choice for the news...

I remember the last-but-one incarnation of 10's Late News regularly used modern songs into/out of breaks. Seems to be a bit of thing over there (along with 10 axing and then bringing back the Late News...)

RE: International News Presentation: Past and Present - ACTV - 22-04-2024

Wasn't that iteration due to be known as Newsnight but was renamed at the last minute as a result of Sky News Australia already having a programme with that title?

Band TV's subscription news channel is now BandNews TV, whose brand more closely resembles their sister radio network. This is the new channel vinheta and the opening of Entre Nós, a BandNews FM show redesigned to simulcast onto TV:
