Quite different than former leader Deng Xiaoping’s death 25 years ago.
That also affected Hong Kong as well - all TV stations had adopted a black-and-white version of the station DOG starting from yesterday (bar ViuTV, who had been using a white DOG).

Returning to Europe, Prima News was launched in Romania a few days ago. This is how their ident/news open looks like:

Adelaide's 7NEWS made a special report last night on an exchange made in 1986 between Tonya Cook, anchor at KTVV (now KXAN), NBC's Austin affiliate, and Anne Fulwood, who was then an anchor at ADS-TV, which was then a Seven affiliate (it switched to Network 10 the following year, with SAS taking the Seven affiliation until today). This was made in observation of the joint celebration of both Austin and Adelaide's 150th anniversary as cities, given their status as sister cities.

A similar experiment was tried in 1988, when KCBS-TV's Pat Harvey (then working for WGN) anchored a stint at Ten's Brisbane news shortly after World Expo 88:

An update on the effects of Jiang's passing to Hong Kong TV: The state funeral will be held tomorrow at 10am (HKT), with most FTA TV stations broadcasting live.

TVB Jade (Ch.81) and HoyTV (Ch.77) will start at 9.55, whereas ViuTV (Ch.99/96) and RTHK TV (Ch.31/32) start at 10 sharp. RTHK TV Ch.33, as a relay of CCTV, begins at 9. Not too sure if other TVB and Cable sister channels will follow suit.

[Edit] All TVB stations bar J2 (Ch.82) simulcast it for a short time, before back to normal shows (bar Jade and TVB News). Hoy Info (Ch.78) also went live as well, but HKIBC didn't.

Some TVB shows are postponed as a mark of respect and per government's memos to pause entertainment. But interestingly, Jade's annual telethon was still on last Saturday, leading to Guangdong TV blocking its signal for alternative schedules.

Polsat News has completely revamped its presentation for the first time since its launch back in 2008. The changes affect both the channel's programming and the main Wydarzenia news broadcast airing on the core Polsat channels, which received an updated logo and tweaked graphics. The new look also places the channel's branding back in line with that of most of the Polsat channels.

A serious warning was issued from Hong Kong's Comminications Authority to i-Cable's Fantastic TV. The FTA subsidiary's English channel, HKIBC, broadcast an Aug. 6 edition of the Late News again on Sep. 24, 2021, failing to maintain news accuracy and the ability to correct factual errors per the TV Programme Code:

ETV’s Aktuaalne Kaamera has a new look for the New Year. They are using the same 2017 studio, but they are using new graphics which are mostly lighter and use blue hues.

While outdated and even discontinued in many countries, teletext is still a thing in The Netherlands.
NOS Teletekst started in 1980 and is still widely used, even on a mobile application, used by over a million people.

Because of the New Year, the NOS used its graphic designer skills Smile
This year, the graphics might be there for the last time. A new (!) system will be implemented this year, alledgedly the production of the Christmas and New Year wish might not be possible anymore.
The NOS employees all got a Teletekst Christmas sweater this year: https://www.spreekbuis.nl/teletekst-kerstpagina-hoogstwaarschijnlijk-voor-het-laatst/

Back in October last year, Nova TV across Croatia, Serbia plus Bosnia and Herzegovina rebranded their newscasts (dnevnik) individually, with a similar-looking curved desks in the latter two.

Nova TV in homebase Croatia: https://youtu.be/205EU1xywEg

Nova S in Serbia:

And Nova BH in Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Personally like the Crotian one best - the rotating newsdesk was an over-powering beast Tongue
