You get the same thing on I'm a Celebrity, when they pre-record an elimination during the break.

I'm guessing the LIVE DOG us added at source then rather than by ITV considering how accurate it seems to be.

They could resurrect Jetset. That kind of feature could do quite well, and they could still do the run out to the car to whisk them away to the airport given they're still at TVC.

It's part fascination to see how seamlessly they integrate pre-records into a live show, and part "why the hell have they done it that way" and/or "why have they set themselves up to tell us when something isn't actually live?"
Me too. Behold the geek within me! I like spotting it and trying to work out why it was done that way.

Having a 6 year old and therefore knowing a few 6 year olds, he was a particularly 'lively' one.

Most kids of that age on TV for the first time would be a lot shyer.

I didn't notice that bit wasn't live, it makes sense though considering their age and it being their first time.

Was the Ant vs Dec stunt live? Takes a heck of a lot of energy to be doing a show like without having to go outside and do that

RE: Saturday Night Takeaway - iloveTV1 - 25-02-2024

Ant vs Dec was live, which is impressive given the clothes change and movement that must be required in the ad break.

Apparently, SNT had 4.9m and Gladiators 3.8m. 1% Club 4.3m, which there seems to be some surprise about it doing so well but it was clearly a hit from the start. It's not a bog standard gameshow. The two Wheels, haven't seen any numbers for them yet which suggests they were OK if not spectacular.

Little Ant and Dec and then Stephen coming out at the start of Ant vs Dec to explain the challenge wasn’t live so they probably snuck off during that segment to get ready

Did they mention that it would be the pair's last series for a while in the episode because I don't think they made any reference to that part other than celebrating that it's their 20th series?

I think there was an Oprah reference in there too. "And you get a holiday! you get a holiday! you get a holiday!"
