Ouch! There's nothing like prematurely cutting off the music on the first UK outing of your revised title sequence.

I just saw one that simply proclaimed "The other Chinese apps taking the US and UK by storm"
In which case, surely they can just drop it. News 24 didn't have a permanent ticker for the first 5 or 6 years of its existence.

Well very generic indeed, just as I predicted

Maybe saves having to have separate versions for different broadcast systems if it's being shown globally.

I suspect those butchered titles aren't permanent, but even then it doesn't look great. The centred globe seen in the World stings would work, but that just doesn't - looks particularly unbalanced with the huge white space on one side.
On the other hand, the Studio B backdrop in C is undoubtedly an improvement on the old one (though not a high barrier, I know).

I don’t mind them shortening the headline sequence, but the titles made it all feel rather rushed. Lucy Hockings’ pace at the start was rather fast. Shame they struggled with the graphics and audio at the start - I guess this is why you soft launch something like this.
On the other hand, Studio C looks good with its new backdrop - looks much more realistic and interesting, and fits the faster pace better. I don’t mind the quite clean and minimalist ‘BBC News’ look on the catwalk screens in E and C.
Was Ben Thompson also controlling his own autocue prompt earlier? I thought he didn’t seem as comfortable early on as he has in the past, and wonder now if that was why?

I think tickers are a bit passé now anyway. MSNBC got rid of theirs a few years ago,
