Nor mine.  But utterly ridiculous if you ask me!

We await an hour's coverage of Burnley's open top bus parade to celebrate their return to the Premier League... Smile

It is ridiculous but wondering if it is also on BBC World and more for the benefit of American viewers than those in Wales.

Yalda is present her slot right now on international. The UK is still covering the Burnley open top bus parade

Pick whichever region has a big story, and then otherwise just pick one at random
Not a ridiculous idea, the other day I was thinking you could make an argument to show the three nations' 22:30 bulletins (+ a Sport bulletin to plug the gap) back-to-back after the News at Ten. Gives you a) UK and regional content that b) adds another perspective which c) viewers might not otherwise come across. Plus, there are worse ways to fill a half-hour - e.g., a bodged Newsnight simulcast.

I think he’s usually a producer who we are also seeing as one of the newsroom reporters since the merger. Jack Lamport (senior producer of the 1/6/10) also filed a report at the weekend.

Well at this rate the Wrexham parade is going to pre-empt Yalda and some of The Context is this goes on much longer.

They are really utilising resources by the sounds of things.

Oh and 19.50ish the coverage from Wrexham  to Yalda in the studio was interesting to say the least.

That Yalda has to be one of the least enthused presenters in a long time. Always feels like she’s just going through the motions. Such a step back even from the poor OS bulletins of late in that time

I’m half expecting Justin Webb or Sarah Montague to turn up on the network at this rate!

I still reckon there’s some sort of dispute which is being kept very quiet.
Some interesting replies from Martine here. Seems she and other presenters who have 'disappeared' are 'on a break' and hoping to 'reappear soon'

I'm guessing the satellite link wasn't booked beyond then as online streams seemed to vanish too (and it was running at least an hour late!).    Yes, that cut was very messy to say the least - just none of the pleasantries that are just a common courtesy to the viewer.   All we got was "these are some of the images of the last couple of hours" and then a hard cut to Yalda with no introduction.

All it needed was confirmation coverage was ending and perhaps a pointer to the website just to smooth the flow, but also even with someone as experienced as Yalda who has had some previous exposure to a UK audience cutting straight to a somewhat unfamilar newsreader with no intro really is off putting.

Also interesting the Wrexham coverage wasn't led by the Sportsday team in Salford - I guess they also had to produce content for World over the period.
