Sky News does that a lot. It’s an easy way to fill airtime.

Is this the new norm? Some presenters around for 10 hours?

Matthew is back to Studio E on World, using the old World titles…

Matthew on 1500. Back in E. Back to old titles. What a mess... Consistency is thrown out of the window.

Matthew Amroliwala now presenting from Studio E.
Red box logo is back, and Matthew is definitely on a smart casual wear.

Really weird and rather niche coverage in that Daniel Sandford is providing background on televising court hearings, rather than having much detail on the case itself.

Well, the new messy titles apparently are not lying in the cloud avaliable to all studios, but instead avaliable to Studio C gallery and them only. Weird way to do things in 2023, but here we are.

They do seem to have jumped the gun a little on breaking into the UK feed for the court sentencing - nearly an hour after they opted out the sentencing hasn’t happened. Although they seem to have arranged for plenty of correspondents and guests to appear to talk about it, it’s meant that they’ve been in rolling news mode for far longer than needed. Back on the news channel they’d have covered some other stories in this time but because they’ve made the effort of doing an opt they seem to be wedded to this story and nothing else.

Very odd. There must be some sort of weird legal reason for keeping the old name. No doubt it will be gone soon enough but I'd love to the know the reason why it's necessary.
