Unclear who is going to be able to broadcast the coronation tomorrow and who isn't.

The coronation lower-thirds from BBC South East Today:

The custom graphics made by the regions always look so rough and out of style...

Those that film it and financially contribute can broadcast it.  Those that don't get what they do (or do not) pay for.

The main BBC titles are lovely, as does Kirsty Young's studio at Buckingham Palace, even if does have quite a lot of greenage

Yes there is alot of foliage going on there!

RE: Coronation of King Charles III - eyeTV - 05-05-2023

So what exactly will GB News / Talk TV show if there is no access to pooled footage?

Just talking heads outside Buckingham Palace?

CBC, CTV, Global and CityTV will be carrying the event, live on location:
https://toronto.citynews.ca/2023/05/02/canadian-broadcasters-ramp-up-coronation-coverage-ahead-of-main-event-saturday/

In NZ, TVNZ1 is taking BBC coverage:
Quote:TVNZ 1 will feature curated coverage from the 1News team of reporters from 7pm, as well as showcasing highlights of the BBC coverage in the early evening, joining the BBC coverage permanently from approximately 8.45pm.

The other UKTV will, of course, join BBC News:

Not too sure about Three/Newshub.
So from what I can see the Australian and New Zealander TV channels will take the BBC's coverage but the Canadian channels won't

Not a massive surprise that Buck House are vetoing parts of the live service, but this article makes it sound like they're also having a say in prerecorded material being included in coverage too.

Talk TV will have a way out of there is problems with airing the BBC feed, they will simply take the fee from their sister station Fox News and air that, which Fox News has already paid for. Helps Talk TV to have Murdoch as their owner in this regard.

GB News on the other hand have deep pockets still, so they will pay the BBC, even though they will use this to slime and smear the BBC for the rest of 2023.
