Storage for extra mics not in use?

Surely it's the mic packs as sitting on a sofa makes it far more difficult to clip the bulky packs to the waist. Then the mic just needs to be plugged into the wire instead of having to give each guest a new pack?

The mics are also attached to the sofa on the old set still used by NWT.

would there be a "pack" at all in that situation. if someone isn't moving around (as a guest won't be when they're on the sofa) then they don't need a radio mic, and a good old wire is much cheaper and more reliable.

I knew Scott Bryan would be all over that. I’m surprised he didn’t refer to it as “absolute scenes”

Scott Bryan, the master of seeing other people’s tweets, embedding the video without quote tweeting them and passing it off as an original observation.

Just watching Breakfast on BBC One which I don't get chance to do much now, but every time I see that new studio I think it looks amazing considering it's actually smaller than what they had up on the second floor.

Sport, business (and weather when in the studio) are all on the move around the studio, as is one of the main presenters each day for the headline segment. So it doesn't feel like 'sofa news' or 'desk bound boredom'.

I like the set when altered for Sportsday in the evenings, but that's what comes with an excellent and flexible design.

Some people did an excellent job designing that space. I like the TOTH/BOTH views of the atrium with the bit of VR thrown in. Why waste something that looks so nice?
