According to the Australian press release (that I couldn't find), new graphics are done by the in-house Creative team.

Worldwide rollout starts 14/9.
From the Polish and Romanian feed, here're the new BBC Earth graphics in action:

#1 - Sprinting tiger ident, plus a Parental Guidance caption on a field:

#2 - Dolphin pack ident, preceded by the old promo endboard:

#3 - Meteorite ad bumper, dew droplet ident with voiceover, and Parental Guidance caption on a coral reef:

This is weird, in the Polish BBC Earth all the continuity is in the Polish language, but in the Romanian feed it's all in English, why is this so? It's a bit bizarre to say the least

I was fully expecting a ‘Why do the BBC’s international channels have better presentation than the domestic ones?’ situation again. But these are quite uninspiring.

Yes, the idea isn't bad but there is something missing in the execution - perhaps actually would benefit from going full on chameleon and the logo splitting to top and bottom.

RE: The BBC Chameleon Thread - ViridianFan - 15-09-2023

There are some nice elements to the package. I much prefer the blocks and channel name next to each other.

Is the fatal forecast the new promo design? The end board looks visually more interesting and it’s nice not having the promo having that feeling of being cut short just for the “on iplayer” bit which is driving me bonkers.

I agree that it’s missing something.

Am I right in thinking that the 2007 BBC 2 idents where based on the concept of  window on the world

The ones on 13e are run by a polish provider licensed from the bbc, the ones elsewhere are from a Central European version so that’s why the trailers are in English.

I think there quite good there is some design consistency ie the font sizing, the kerning, line height it seems more sharper on these two bbc studio channels that have chameleon, even the DOGS are consistently aligned.

The only thing slightly strange is seeing the trailers start off with the bbc earth dog but in the top centre but it does revolve to the familiar chameleon end board then to the bbc earth logo text move into the centre, it helps that the bbc studio channels are transmitted by other providers who send it at much higher mbps and the colours have a pop to them unlike the UK channels, hopefully an example of trailers will surface so we can all see.

They're different feeds, although run both by the same one.

The Romanian one is shared with all Central Europe, while Poland gets "its own BBC feeds"

I've never fully understood why Poland is such a special place with it's own BBC feeds.......
