Sadly no surprise but it's ridiculous. If radio can sort it's branding out then surely TV can too - can't think of the last time I saw a piece of radio promotion/social content with the incorrect logo, yet on the BBC's visual medium it's a daily occurance.

There really is no excuse for it - we've all seen over the years how specific branding guidelines can be for things like end credits so it would have been a hardship to nobody to specify the use of the correct logo to anything produced to air from 2022 onwards.

Went to the old bbc television centre in Shepherd’s Bush, I didn’t realise it was in such a busy area of west London, I thought it was on the outskirts and pretty quiet but yeah I had a good look around some old bbc logos still around and of course now it just says television Centre and you can still see the marks where the 1997 bbc logo would have been, nice to see a shiny helios :-)

This forum would have gone nuts if it was around in the late 80s/early 90s when we had the exact same situation of two BBC logos being used side by side for years 😋

The new BBC logo with Reith blocks was used, you can see this on iPlayer now

The difference then is it was a corporate logo rather than a branding element - the logo barely appeared on screen outside of endcaps.   And over on "the other side" ITV got their new logo on endcaps pretty swiftly.

BBC wise this was barely an issue in 1998 so it shouldn't be an issue two years on from a 2021 rebrand.
