Unfortunately, if this story didnt rise to the level of a nationally important story, i makes you realise why the local news operations arent allow to opt out and share coverage say for the London Metro area. Rather than clog up the national feed with a story thats local. But unfortunately local news is regulated to coverage after the fact, rather than in breaking news mode as it develops. But it seem that local radio is given more resources or leeway to cover these types of stories and local/regional tv is all presented in a edited newsmagazine format.
