I’m not really sure Paramount / CBS will be bothered or really have grounds to complain. I think there is little chance of confusion and it’s part of bigger logo.


I was going to say they don’t use that brand in this market, but of course they do. But I highly doubt anyone is going to think Big Brother is on CBS Reality now and if they did its probability to the advantage of the channel.

I think they’ve probably got bigger fish to fry.

After all these years CBS has seemingly refused to allow Big Brother US to use an eye logo. There has been subtle uses of an eye but never a straight forward eye logo. But i doubt the use of the CBS eye by ITV will ruffle any feathers legally at CBS...unless something newsworthy happens with the BBUK that brings it to their attention. Then all bets are off.

Not used on screen though (indeed think that is a mock) - they had the numeral in the house and then a door.    An eye blink did feature in the title card though,but was quite subtle.

Yeah the CBS Big Brother title slide featured a subtle eye. But the logo itself, unlike say, BIg Brother UK, it was never an eye itself. The UK always had a eye I believe from the start.
The US Big Brother intros was and continue to be crap. I think even today they are still outsourced to the same graphics company. Which is why all the graphics are/ have been rubbish. The UK always had better music and graphics. US always seemed old fashioned and outded and not rendered very well. You can also include the cheesy soap opera-ish music from the early years. The music changed in Series 6 when they introduced the new 2 story house. (Same house they are using today.)

The youthful modern UK version intros always had a creepy voyeur factor because of the eye logo. In my opinion. Not a fan of the original boring format but I do like the UK production values and the house designs compared to the US version.

I am looking forward to this, just to see what they do, that version of the theme tune is good, and I like that eye. I only ever liked one CH5 eye and that was for BB15.

This eye has a loose feel of BB7.

Looking forward to the house reveal, and I do hope we get that outdoor feel to the main live shows, with all the high walls introduced during CH5 it felt more indoor than outside.

Im really interested to see how they do this as well. Especially since the house isnt supposed to be a free-standing structure anymore. Will they get rid the outdoor bit. Lets be honest in the UK its not really practical. It just rains too much. It does bring the excitment factor. But eeek. Does any one really want to stand in the freezing rain for hours? Maybe a semi covered situation?
The BB house design Im sure will be nice. They usually are. But i kinda hope they change it up. Are their still enough residual fans from the early years that are interested in the show. Its been through literally all the major commercial networks (yeah Ch5 is a PSB). Im more interested to see how its going to be different for 2023. The tv landscape is so different today. With shows like Love Island and Rise and Fall, Traitors etc. Very interesting to see if the show still can retain a sizeable audience to make it profitable.

Could they potentially build a house inside a hanger with the garden space set where day and night are controlled through lighting, similar to how they did for Channel 5’s Back to Reality?

They could, though guessing if they permit smoking they'd need some outdoor space - or just for fresh air at least.
