It’s never been really been seen as such though. 

The line is there for nostalgia reasons mainly which is fair enough.

It depends whether the birds that provide the soundtrack are being paid for the extra hour.

When I was kid we definitely all watched it and chatted about it at school. Whether we were meant to be or not.

Yes, I remember that. The housemates were all so convinced there wasn't going to be a suprise eviction (I seem to remember they were given a load of Pimms and other treats and decided there'd definitely be no last minute evictions as a result) and one of them shouted the S word when Davina's voice came through.

When you say kid, how old?

BB has always attracted a wide age range but for it to be classed as a family show it would have to be intended for families to watch together and suitable for all ages, which going by some of the content it isn't.
