Aren’t there different rules between ITV1 and ITV2 for number of minutes? Or does airing none at 6pm mean they can match what a normal 9pm hour has on ITV2?

It's the same per hour (max 12 minutes) but ad breaks can only include 3.5 mins of ads plus a promo on ITV1 compared to up to 4.5 mins of ads plus 2-3 promos on ITV2.  

The ratings for the last couple of simulcasts have shown it's probably not worth it for evictions next year.

The winners interview being on ITV2 whilst all the other finalists were on ITV1 is odd. They should have just extended the main show.

To be fair, the ratings had probably got as high as they were going to on 1 and it will ensure a good audience for ITV 2.

I feel like Will’s disconnect has been a lot more evident tonight and there’s been jokes that haven’t landed and felt awkward whereas I feel like he’d avoid this on the side show. AJ has settled in spectacularly - she definitely needs to be only main host.

Agree, for the sake of 15 minutes it feels a bit strange. But I guess it’s trying to ensure more people switch over to ITV2 and possibly stick for another hour.

Also the ratings for this on ITV 1 won’t be very good, but if they could get 2 million for this interview on ITV 2, it’ll be worth it. It also potentially allows for a bit more of a relaxed and slightly extended interview.

Really baffling to not include the winners interview on ITV1 for the sake of 15 minutes. Indeed that should probably be the climax of the series - it's done now, we don't need to hear what one Z-lister thinks about it, never mind 5. It would have been better for ITV2 to have a pre-finale show with full highlights from the final day, then just get straight into things with the final.


It's not faultless though but it's been great to have Big Brother back after 13 years in the wilderness.

This Late and Live is an absolute disaster - but it’s so jarringly unrestrained unlike the rest of the live episodes that it’s amusing.
