Big change for the Celebrity series. Viewers will be voting to save rather than voting to evict on eviction nights.

Voting to save seems to be a fairly standard thing on shows involving celebrities, and I think I'm a Celeb has done possibly it since the beginning. I imagine that a lot of 'celebrities' and their agents would otherwise refuse to sign up. After all being evicted because someone was slightly more popular is less career damaging that being evicted due to being the most unpopular/hated.

They've quite often used vote to save on the celeb version going back to the C4 days (CBB3 I think)

Voting to evict leaves a pretty good chance you’ll end up with the biggest stars leaving first.

It did turn out quite well for the civilian series though in the end. Something I’ve thought about is how every housemate made a big impact at some stage of the programme. So the casting was spot on in the end. Not sure how that compared to other series of Big Brother but having 16 house mates for just 6 weeks paid off in the end.

Uh oh. This is not good. This new series isn’t off to a very good start.

That probably happened in previous series but at least we didn't see it so it kept the illusion that they were meeting for the first time on launch night.

The thing is when they rely so much on a reality TV alumni most of them know each other to an extent anyway. It's not a cast of strangers.

Is there anything more than that one still? Could it just be two contestants turned up together or at the same time and when they’re in the hotel they’re generally kept apart?

Apparently SuperTV jumped the gun and the person in the photo with the celeb isn't actually a z-lister off TOWIE.

It really didn’t. Producers were very rigorous when it came to keeping celebs separated, each with their own chaperones who kept a strict schedule to make sure none of them came face to face.

There’s every chance one or two might have accidentally bumped into each other, but once they went into hiding the separation was taken very seriously.

Apparently this rumour only started because the S*n incorrectly identified a staff member pictured with Fern as another celebrity rumoured to be entering the house. Once again proving itself a trustworthy and thoroughly researched publication.
