As seen with the pre-launch countdown version, the Sky Mix DOG has a slight alteration compared to the other channels where the logo doesn't completely fade off, it just fades to a higher level of transparency.

Same ident played out for the second programme.

Personally, I prefer that idea, making the DOG mostly transparent rather than completely disappear, particularly when dealing with piracy or to prevent screen burns. It would be interesting if Sky plans to roll out this in the future.

The DOG staying on is an odd choice. Sky Arts is FTA and they don't keep the DOG on constantly for that. Unless that's about to change too?

Idents a bit dull but like the concept, though it works much better in the second than first.

Sky Kids also keeps the DOG on at all times during a programme. In those channels' cases, younger viewers do not care, and Sky Mix wasn't designed to be in the same premium veil as other Sky channels.

These idents look very professional and, dare I say, quite “premium” so do perhaps signal a change in approach from Pick’s more basic image. I like it!
It seems like Sky are going for a genuine effort to make the channel more enticing to free viewers, to really try to get them interested in Sky’s other content.

Bizarrely, if not coincidentally, Freeview Channel 11 was also the home to Pick's predecessor, Sky Three, given that Pick has sorta shifted channel numbers over the course of its existence.
