3rd November was the planned launch date for the brand update. We have firm proof of that (and there are plenty of ITV staffers who also know this). However, circumstances have clearly changed since that date was determined. Plans can change.

I think JAS84 is not questioning how reliable the information we’ve got is… It’s just about Wikipedia’s editorial standards on some upcoming events like a rebrand in the future.

I think the vast majority of users on Wikipedia whether logged-in or anonymous have never read Wikipedia's Manual of Style or Reliable sources pages.

Perhaps once you move beyond the middle of November, any rebrand/refresh won't have chance to land with viewers before the launch of your Christmas idents.  It will simply be lost to most until January.

It's probably best now just to wait until January and do it with some fanfare.

Or… the Christmas idents could be a taster of the new look. Or a transitional package, like what S4C did in 2007.
