If that were the case then every programme should have its logo constantly superimposed.

GMB's logo hasn't changed by the way. It is the 2017 logo and will continue to be so. That doesn't mean it has to be plastered on the screen for the duration of the programme. Viewers know what they are watching.

Today I notice a special blue and yellow bar has been created for coverage of the war in Ukraine. (Apologies if this was used yesterday also. If so, I only noticed it this morning.)

Definitely seems like someone's been watching Sky News and noting down everything they think works well for use on GMB.

The new graphics do look very Sky News. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing

RE: Good Morning Britain - RJLD24 - 05-09-2023

The main thing I would change would be making the white part of the strap double lined. It would look even more like Sky News but would go a long way in my opinion.

I tend to agree.

As somebody who thinks that BBC News have made a massive mistake by changing their own graphics to be single-lined, it’s a shame to see GMB doing the same here. A headline part of the graphic with additional information below is much more useful, and looks more balanced on-screen.

Emphasis can be achieved through different fonts/colours and varying text sizes, so I’m sure they could still make the most important part of the graphic stand out.

RE: Good Morning Britain - what - 05-09-2023

I think they should have made the headline L3s the ones they use all the time, albeit with a second line.

Kinda like how US news outlets have been copying CNN for a while now

Instead of Holly and co at TM suffering the morning after the NTAs, this year it’s Susanna

Charlotte has stepped in to host with Richard Gaisford filling her seat today

Reminds me of a time in December 2014 when Kate hoarsely began the programme as the newsreader, battled through one story, and was then relieved of her duties by, initially Susanna reading the remainder of the headlines, and later, fully, by Louisa James.

(The fact I remember the exact details of such a minor and uninteresting occurrence almost a decade on suggests I really need to get a life.)

Interesting. Seems they're introducing a sting to go with every bed now.

Classic GMB...  Big Grin
