Except it's yellow on white. Not a good contrast, even though I think I must have weak eyes. Dodgy

I never did like that Red Bee Media ITV1 logo in 2006 with the white on yellow for the same reason. They changed it after 10 months. I wonder why?  I'm sure it wasn't just for my benefit.

It just looked really bad, as were the idents haha! Tongue  Re-live the full horror here . . .

Well I'd say it's orange myself - just a reverse of the previous colour scheme.

Hasn't the white logo (or logo free logo if you prefer) been used for the regions from the start?

I'm not sure of the purpose of a 'logo-free logo'. It's rather a contradiction. The regional news inserts use the full 'tear' GMB logo, and always have done.

The clock appears to have changed slightly this morning. It’s much more orange than yellow, so there’s better contrast with the white text.

Edit: they’ve forgotten to change it when it’s slightly resized and repositioned for the weather.

Another edit: All kinds of problems with the graphics this morning. Several instances of two lots of text overlaid on each other, and two tickers at once. Eventually the ticker was replaced with a static caption with contact details and the lighter coloured clock.

How come they’re not doing the rest of the news headlines at 8am. usually it’s a quick roundup then straight to the ITV regional news opt outs

They’d be off air by then, more often Coronation Street starting at that time

The ticker broke this morning (1:10 in)

Because the programme doesn't air in the evening.

Interesting to see how everything layers there.
When the static ticker is brought up, a white logo overlays the yellow one. They then somehow later figure out how to hide the white one. Noticable too that the clock is a different colour for the two tickers.
It seems like quite a bit must've changed behind the scenes for these graphics changes, particularly to affect the content of the ticker, which I'd assumed would've been quite separate.
