It also appears that they’ve removed the illuminated perspex GMB and ITV branding from below the screens which I always thought looked too busy and cluttered.

It feels like they want a bit of a cleaner look for the programme now with the new graphics and the removal of the coloured blocks from the screens. A good move IMO.

If you slap ITV on your Breakfast franchise titles, but remove it from within the set, you start to look inconsistent.

Do you?

EastEnders has a BBC logo in its titles, but it’s not etched onto the glass in the Queen Vic.

A look from a different angle from this morning's programme.

You can see the new wall / "window" section - formerly doors - to the far left of the frame.

New sofa looks very nice and they’ve done well to make it fit that corner of the studio, which is quite an odd shape. That should really have been what they went for from the off! Having the sofa placed on a riser also makes the close up shots infinitely better.

The studio doors are now immediately to the right of the news area to make space for the extra screen by the sofa.

Quite. Plus the ITV logo still appears elsewhere on the GMB set.

Some more ticker problems at ~6:03am today. The static contact details ticker replaced it, but the B of #GMB was cut off but the fade next to the clock. I'm guessing that's because the date is a couple of characters longer than most days (although you'd think they'd plan for there to be enough room for Wednesday and September!)

Also notice the addition of another screen in the sofa area to the left (which is now showing Parliament). As a result the doors to the set have been shifted to the left. It no longer means they're directly opposite the studio (as in Studio 3) doors and the background behind them is not set up for TV.

Does the scrolling ticker usually have a green entertainment logo and pink for sport?

It should be the other way round!

I see they've swapped the Twitter bird icon out for the X from this morning's programme, as seen here...

On a separate note, they need to be careful of the length of their TOTH headlines...
