Does that mean Richard Arnold is cancelled?, or will he present from the studio?.

No, he’ll be bringing us the latest showbiz news live from the waiting area for the blood clinic.

Richard Madeley has been trending today following this exchange with Mick Lynch

Kate doesn’t know what to do with herself!

At the risk of Doxxing myself, this did lead to the funny outburst yesterday from me saying 'Richard Madely is less than a mile away from me'. In all seriousness, however, if their intention was to show an overstretched NHS, surely filming it in a quiet part of our outpatient wing is not really getting the point across? Just seems odd to me

All politics aside, that was a woeful interview by Madeley. Paxman he ain’t.

Poor Kate tried to intervene but he wouldn’t even allow her to speak either!

I watched the start of GMB one morning last week (think it was Wednesday) and noticed that they've stopped having the newsreader do the first half hour on their own. When did this happen? (I don't normally watch GMB, or any breakfast show for that matter, so am not up on their presentational niceties. Could have happened many months ago for all I know.)

It’s been like that since Jan! They changed it again for some reason. Will probably change again come next month, GMB do like messing around with the format every few months it seems ;-)

They initially scrapped the Newsreader doing the first half during the First Lockdown then reverted back again. I thought due to restrictions it was brought back to the main Presenters and stayed like that ever since.

I prefer this format to be honest.

I thought the driver for the first half hour just with the newsreader came about when the programme was extended to 09:00, so the main presenters still did 2.5 hours.

Wasn't it also a chance for people to actually get some news, before the programme descended into a 'Morgan Monologue' for 20 minutes?

Yes you are right. But it was scrapped just before Lockdown in March 2020. It then came Back but it then it was scrapped again I think in January 2021.
