The BBC think their light entertainment schedule is packed, apparently. It was probably between this and Picture Slam. No details as of yet how the show plays out, studio audience etc.

Another Traitorsesque commission for the BBC:

The BBC1 schedule is truly dreadful.
Whoever scheduled 'In For a Penny' and 'In With a Shout' together, I applaud you. Because now when I'm making conversation with friends I can use 'In For a Penny, In With a Shout' as a meaningless phrase.

Hopefully I'm not the only one making that joke.

Is that a thing that people say? It's like saying Tempting Fortune, that's not a thing either, even though it sounds like it should be.

Does the playalong on the 1% Club app work if you're watching on demand? Or is it just a one-and-done for the live broadcast?

It only works when the show airs on linear ITV1. I imagine if you’re watching as it airs on ITVX the timings would be out and the questions would appear earlier on the app than on the stream.

The app currently says ‘You can play along next Saturday at 9:20pm on ITV’ (They didn’t get the memo about the 1 suffix).

The promotion of the app was very low key, Lee saying ‘remember you can play along at home on the app’ and that was it. Maybe at the time of recording they were unsure if it would work

It wasn’t as integrated as it was on 5 Gold Rings, where Phil would ‘announce’ a winner at the end

I think like most great playalong quiz shows shouting at the TV is all you really need.

One thing they've also done this year is really over-corrected the font size issue - gone from questions being miniscule in the bottom quarter of the screen to at times taking up two thirds of the picture.

Looks like University Challenge has been given a refresh for when Amol Rajan takes over.

Production on Starstruck paused for now. They were taking applications expecting that the series would get a recommission. Maybe it still will be but for later on in the year. The numbers for S2 were decent but ITV will maybe want to try something new in the slot.

I like the new titles, the set looks more of a refresh than overhaul.

That’s interesting, and must be a fairly recent change to the website. I thought the numbers for series 2 were a bit disappointing given the slot it has. Do we think they’ve maybe got cold feet on a third series?
