"No way, network, running over? Really surprises me that"
"Stand by - we have been standing by..."

Not sure if anyone can capture the full chat, but it ends with "Ooh, hello - they calling you?" - wonder if someone at monitoring noticed the audio peaking differently to the other regions, had a listen and got the network director to call them out...

It started with 'Is that the rainfall' when the rainfall level came on the national forecast. Then 'Could you keep an eye on my timings' and a big yawn, followed by a sarcastic sounding 'no way that really surprises me' when the national forecast says there is more rain on the way. Was quite amusing!

There was some paper rustling before and after the weather too. His microphone was also left up during the opening title of BBC South Today.

Is anyone able to capture? How far back does the BBC One South live stream go at any one time?

Once it's gone from there, presumably it's gone, because the recording of the Ten on iPlayer will be from London/network.

It definitely sounds like they might have been alerted to the problem a few seconds before South Today goes live.

He must be the least formally dressed BBC News regional news presenter.

So what?  When Sabet Chowdhury hosted Points West (prior to his defection to ITV West Country), he never used to wear a tie.

Personally I find everyday tie wearing is now passé; you only have to look at most sports presentation on TV in this country to see how it's evolved into a less formal look (major events, i.e. finals, excepted).

Has there been any update on Sally Taylor? I must say that out of the current rotation, Jo Kent is doing a particularly good job.

Haven't heard anything. We have to assume that she wishes whatever is happening to remain private.
