Good decision in my view to axe this show - a lot of the lifestyle shows which RTE seem to have relied on for the last 20 years needs to be axed.
RTE lacks proper entertainment - back in the 1990s they had along with The Late Late Show, Kenny Live on a Saturday night, Bibi Baskin Show mid week, Live at Three on weekdays, Winning Streak on Saturdays, Nighthawks late night comedy chat show, Where in the World, Glenroe on Sundays and that is just a few.
They really need to get back to proper entertainment shows, and stop relying on cookery and lifestyle shows to fill the ever increasing gaps in their schedules.

Not a surprise, the Department of Health stopped sponsoring it last year, with them out it would have cost money to make, something RTE doesn't have. It's a very tired format in this day and age. On top of all that there were petitions in previous years to take it off the air because of the way it presented weight issues and how to lose weight.
The cupboard is starting to look very bare in RTE. Not that many people will notice. If they just keep News, Sport, Fair City, Eastenders, and the Late Late Show going, (and maybe Nationwide) Most won't complain. Almost everything else is filler. Obviously that's not a complete list but it's close enough.
