Following this, an unusual way of ending the news: CNN Philippines' flagship newscast will be back on Monday, with the group hug at the end of the broadcast.

This is the first edition of 10's news at 3.30pm from their Adelaide studio, presented by Narelda Jacobs.

Not a fan of Nine's cluttered lower thirds (and the CSO set looks dreadful on the Darwin edition)

I think you meant the new afternoon news on Ten was coming from the small CSO studio in Sydney used for the 5pm Adelaide news? (rather than Adelaide itself)

What language is the channel broadcast in? Are there set hours for languages? I seem to recall back on the Blue Place we'd use to have someone on here share snippets and I was under (perhaps wrongly) the impression that English was more dominant on air back then?

They still use the English language. However, to cater more Filipino audience, the flagship newscast used Tagalog (Filipino) language to understand the news.

And what’s with the weird linear left to right wipes used all the time at the start of the piece. A good case of just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

After relaunching Informativos Telecinco, Mediaset brought Noticias Cuatro back to its sister station. The brand is currently used in weekday 2pm and 8pm editions, as well as a separate weekend edition. The 2pm edition is presented by Alba Lago, while the 8pm is headed by Diego Losada and Mónica Sanz. Marta Reyero fronts the weekends.

Like Telecinco, Cuatro gets a new set coinciding with this, using the same AI system that secures the anchor's face in the picture. More eye-opening is the tongue-like display at the middle of the set, allowing images to flow upwards.

Infomativo Teledos (TL2) and El Noticiero (EN6), TCS' sister newscasts to Canal 4, also rebranded. The former now bears a flatter lower thirds and new abbreviation, while the latter incorporates more live-action shots and much larger graphics.

After starting off looking very corporate, CBS Mornings have now gone for updated graphics that stray away from the corporate rebrand slightly with the straps resembling the rays from their sun logo.
