To be fair the BBC signs at the Mailbox are mostly window stickers. Wouldn't be too hard to expensive to change those.

I passed by BBC Nottingham the other day who had got the new BBC logo installed outside their building.

An average BBC News journalist writing an article will not want to waste time searching for a new logo that most people won't even notice.
I agree that the rollout has been terrible with no guidelines or templates for the non-graphically inclined to make something using the brand correctly but I do feel like it's not being used simply because it doesn't look right. No, there's no protest but I never said there was, only that it's confusing hence the reluctance to use it, nobody seems sure if they're using the proper logo. That there's so little to support users of the brand besides a logo file doesn't help with that aspect but that's all conjecture of course.

Also it's a terrible logo in my eyes, you don't need to be too much of an aesthete to feel like it's not right.

Went past BBC Yorkshire today old logos everywhere even the insides hasn’t changed, clearly no appetite for this new logo.

Radio York keep posting these videos with both the new and old logos in the top left…

For those wondering, this was a video from last week as the big letters above the NBH entrance were removed to replace a shattered glass panel (which had been left for at least a year) a couple of floors above the main doors.

Inevitably, once the work was complete, the old BBC logo went back up again:

More like no budget for it.

Looks small as well, I’m surprised they can have a newsroom and studio in that space.

Anyone know when they'll ever get around to updating BBC Four's off-air slide on iPlayer? It's still using a slide that seems to have been conceived from Four's early branding in 2005, and looks very outdated, especially now that BBC Three is back and has a proper Chameleon themed off-air slide.

RE: The BBC Chameleon Thread - Former Member 406 - 02-02-2023

The glacial rollout of the revised BBC blocks logo does seem to be a sympton of it being such that it is effectively "indistinguishable" from its predecessor in most folk's perception.

If it had been a totally new and dissimilar design from its predecessor, as was the case in 1997, then I'm sure that something more like the quick blanket rollout we saw back then would have also happened this time round.

It is utterly baffling that it still hasn't reached key areas such as BBC Weather telly forecasts or EastEnders* yet.

(*Last time that I bothered checking. EE's opening/closing credits is as much of this depress-a-thon as I would willingly watch)

Non of the commercial channels in Europe have taken it either, they’d be the first to jump at the opportunity but they haven’t bothered.
