The BBC Chameleon Thread

Still can’t believe that BBC Food hasn’t been updated yet, considering BBC Good Food has been sorted. I mean, I know weather isn’t on TV yet but at least some parts have been updated. It can’t be hard to change a few social media logos and a website to a different font. And yes, I know it’s not a central brand but you catch my drift.

A tweet from The Ident Gallery post on the BBC Radio logos has said that they are on Freesat radio channel list as well. It said they were done on the same day as Freeview.

Can anyone check if that is true because I don't have a Freesat box or TV to confirm this development.

Don't have the means to check on my phone, but not convinced all of those colour combinations have sufficient colour contrast for accessibility purposes

Old BBC logo and I believe also the old Sounds logo, without the new sounds icon.

Formerly 'Charlie Wells' of TV Forum.

A lot of this thread does show a certain reluctance from some departments to implement the new branding. Not surprised, even after being with it for a while I still think it's a startlingly incompetent looking logo so I don't blame anyone for looking at it and thinking it's not the right one seeing as it feels like a recreation of the logo made in Google Sheets in a rush.

And that graphic is clearly newly made as that linked hearts design for Eurovision 2023 has only just been revealed. Rolleyes

I think you’re over estimating people’s ability to tell the difference. These things all seem like bad management of implementing the new brand rather some kind of protest about the new branding.
