Couple of points on The Guardian article.
I'm not aware of GB News repeatedly falling foul of the Broadcasting Code. There was one occasion where a caption on TV showed candidates for an election, but the names weren't read out, so the radio simulcast broke the code. Hardly serious. Can't think of any others.
Mentioning the reach of 2.87m and the average daily viewing of 'only 41 seconds' in the same sentence, would leave the uneducated in ratings stats to believe that it's the 2.87m who are watching for 41 seconds each per day.
The average daily viewing time is based on the total of BARB viewers for the month, December's was 59.53m.
So the average daily viewing of those who watched the channel at least once during the month is 14m 10s.
They mention Sky News' much higher reach, but conveniently omit its average daily viewing. It's 9m 36s, considerably lower than GB News'.
