I'd argue it didn't make sense to have so many named programmes throughout the day and into the evening.
Bev Turner with Nana, Patrick Christys with Neil Oliver, and so on.

Most of the brands they use (or did use) have been used previously at Sky News Australia (which of course is where the CEO Angelos used to work). 'To the Point' and 'Newsday', to name but two.

Breakfast now runs to 9.30, followed by To The Point.
Who's now Deputy Political Editor, according to their own screen graphics.

Mind you, that’s not too different to Sky. ‘This is the Sarah-Jane Mee Show, I’m Jonathan Samuels’ or ‘Kay Burley with Anna Jones’. And as for the American newscasts…

What makes me smile when watching the main US evening news programmes is they always place the anchor's name with the news title, even when they are on vacation (holiday) or "on assignment" which I was told by someone I know who works at NBC News simply means "vacation with one day of work to be done during it".
An example is "This is NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Substituting tonight Kate Snow"
I don't think ITV News would ever try that style out.

I don't know... 'This is the ITV News at Ten with Tom Bradby' followed by 'Good evening, I'm Julie Etchingham, Tom is on assignment' has a certain ring to it, does it not?

The Ofcom statement today has really lit a fire under GBNews. I have noticed a lot of clarifications today after discussions. My favourite one so far has just happened on Dan Wooten tonight which went something to the effect of,
“ Of course we do not in any way support violence or killing people smugglers this was just in jovial terms, kelvin did not actually mean we need to shoot people smugglers” to which the guest Kelvin interrupted
“ I did mean it”.

I suppose as long as the host interjects and provides some sort of contradiction to that effect they are in effect in the clear?
