Holly to miss another week due to having Shingles!

Why are the papers going ape over this piece of information?
Clickbait. Or, perhaps, they are hinting at something (i.e. Holly and Phillip being ousted by ITV - one can only hope...)
Definitely feels like Phil and Holly's time on TM coming to an end. Could see them leaving at some point next year.
Bringing Alison and Dermot in a couple of years ago looks like a smart move as they now have a team ready to succeed them when the time comes. Josie Gibson is great presenting too IMO

I think Dermot and Allison are the natural replacements for Phil and Holly, Josie Gibson and Vernon Key could do Fridays and Holidays.
I agree, I feel Phil and Holly have reached the end point now, I would not be surprised if they both left in the summer.

I can't see them leaving that soon, but it feels like it's coming. After all the publicity from 'Queuegate' and things recently it would look like they have been forced out by bad press, ITV will try and avoid that. Next year is more likely if it will happen IMO

Minor point, but Vernon Kay won't be available to present This Morning; as of next month, he'll be presenting a daily programme on Radio 2 at the exact time This Morning airs.

Alison doesn’t want it full time does she? I’m sure she’s said as much in the past. Josie really is excellent however and could fit in as main presenter easily.
Agree however that H&P are likely on their way soon.

The papers of today are now far worse than even the worst offenders which led to tge van on rota talk at TV Forum.

Changing subject, it was announced today that This Morning will be live from the Corrie set on Friday 5th May for This Morning’s Coronation Street Party.

Alison was live from the set and confirmed as it’s on a Friday herself & Dermot will be the hosts.

What she’s says in an interview off the cuff and what she’d do if there was an offer on the table are two totally different things.
A few years ago no one would had Alison down as a potential future lead presenter of the show. Now I think it’s difficult not to see her as the lead contender.

Or perhaps she really does have shingles and it just so happened that it was at the end of the Easter school holidays
