Minor mishap on the Six this evening, as someone wandered into the shot during the weather.  More importantly, what on Earth was Tomasz wearing with that 'funky jacket' and the 'bovver boots'? 

I'm sure they forget that we can see their feet when they present in Studio B. We've seen quite a variety of unusual footwear!

I think the only refresh of the brand we're likely to see is the refits of Studios E and C, which would bring them into line with the style of Studio B, on a smaller scale, obviously.

There is a confirmed brand refresh for BBC News due first quarter 2023. 

No indication of whether it'll happen at the time of the merger but it would surely make the most sense to launch with the refresh. I think there is indication it's around the corner with the speed at which we're seeing new studio align across the country here in the UK.

One would expect all of these changes to happen at the same time. It is a launch of a new channel, in a way, and as much as it feels already that News & World are one, it's really not the case. There will be a new schedule, half of the presenters we see now will be gone, plus the studio set ups will be changed, in one way or another. So for once, we might get a relunch that really is a brand new start.

But then again, it is BBC, so you never know.....
