Normally if they use another studio for BSL, the flipper from there will be slower than the original feed, for example the Downing Street COVID briefings, which were on BBC One with ticker and BSL was on NC.

This article claims that Andrew Marr had already provided the narration for the tribute programme to The Queen that was shown on Friday at 8pm on BBC 1, but that he was dropped in favour of Kirsty Young "at the last minute".
Quote:His agent said “the BBC apparently believes that hearing his voice would upset its viewers” and it replaced him with Kirsty Young at the last minute.

BBI45 you are literally doing an amazing job preserving these recordings from history! Thank you for all the hard work that you are doing!
Thank you very much. I've still got quite a few to go, including Magic and Classic FM

I'm surprised that he was surprised that he was replaced as the voice of the tribute programme having left the BBC and not entirely been complementary about it since leaving... replaced by a voice who I'm presuming will be involved in the BBC's coverage over the next week. Quite the ego...

Martel Maxwell, known nationwide as a presenter on Homes under the Hammer, but also apparently a presenter on BBC Scotland, has just been used in the BBC coverage.
Yesterday we had Jason Mohammed involved in the coverage in Wales
And that’s on top of Kirsty Walk being involved outside her usual Newsnight role and Sarah Smith basically taking on her old role

I did like Huw calling Martel 'my colleague' just like he does with the BBC regional newsreaders at the end of the bulletins.

Surely any moment we are going to have Huw introducing ‘my colleague Dion’ who is interviewing a couple outside a 2 bed terrace in Stoke on Trent about their memories of The Queen

This is being produced by BBC Events rather than BBC News, which might explain why Huw is in the One Show studio rather than a News studio, and presumably Martel's involvement.
Sally Magnusson was also involved in commentating on some of the events in Scotland.
What is the deal with Sarah Smith's involvement? Obviously she's based in the US in her new role, did she just happen to be in the UK and pitched in to help with the coverage or was she brought over in anticipation of the events which have unfolded?
The range of people who are getting involved in this is impressive, people like Mishal Hussain far more prominent in the coverage than might have been expected.
