HM Queen Elizabeth Dies & Funeral Coverage

Dion's favourite part of Buckingham Palace is the stairs going up to the bedrooms.

Does that include CITV too, do we think?

What does that say about a channel if it scares fish? Just talk me through that.

This isn't the right thread to dwell on it, but take a look at the YouTube channel of Al Duprés (BBC Wales announcer) who enjoys some cheeky introductions to Dion's appearances.

Do we assume that the One Show will be from Manchester again with Huw taking up residence in Studio V?

Looks like for tonight's BBC News at 6 the lighting and some of the screens have been altered to give a darker / more sombre feel.

I thought that they might simulcast or close down.

Remains to be seen if C4, C5 take the funeral and what their other channels do.

I expect some other channels may close down, especially during the funeral.

Really does seem like overkill. Surely ITV should be offering an alternative for viewers on their other channels? They really don't need it on 6 (or 7 if it's going to be on CITV as well) different channels.

big mistake from itv simulcasting programs alienates viewers most of the 16 to 34 audience itv2 is aimed at are not royalists so why take off the channel aimed at them to show royal coverage they didn't do that when she died

Well, there's no chance of getting criticised for putting out something that somebody deems to be inappropriate/disrespectful if they are all showing the funeral.

What in the stat muxing!

With the BBC showing the announcement on 4/9 channels on PSB1 (electing to close Three and Four), how are ITV planning to show it on 4, perhaps 5/12 channels on PSB2.

Breakdown:
ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Perhaps ITV+1 which I read is also on the same multiplex.
Aren't Channel 5 going to be broadcasting this? Maybe even Channel 4?

Sounds like a nightmare. Presumably they're gonna have to time delay each channel.

I note that the BBC One HD channel switch slide is back in action at the moment - is this the first time since the Queen's death was announced?
