I have to say it looks very nice, and a big step up from a lot of the other regions' sets.

Personally though, I would like to have seen all regions ditch the sofas now that all programmes are presented single-headed. I feel sofas suit double-headed presentation better, and often look rather empty and odd with just one person sat on them for most of the programme.

It does feel like it would benefit from another tower behind the desk to improve there awkward corner. But otherwise impressive

The curved desk on the new sets that are being rolled out kinda remind me of the curved desk that was used on Central News West back in 1998

It’s in the Belmont/Waltham overlap.

Thought she’d left in 2018/9.

She’s Sarah Bishop these days.

Wow. The set is very similar to BBC Newsline in Belfast with only very subtle differences in-between the two. It looks really nice. It is a great use of space. It's the first time seeing the mini desk in front of the sofa. You just have to wonder how would the other regions in England & Reporting Scotland are going to use their new studios in the near future.

Politics East Midlands looked nice in the new set today. The BBC logo had been updated to the new one in the titles and backdrop as well. Politics Midlands still has the old logo on its titles.
