How long have Midlands Today been using the 2008 headlines bed for? I happen to quite like it, but seems strange that they’d dig it out after all these years.

They have a habit of using the network bed. I’m sure they were the only region to use the 2007 music.

Yes they were. They even used the network titles and closing music at one point in 2007. It didn’t last long as they manually slowed down the speed of the titles to match the build up.

They also don't use the 2013 National headline bed during the regional headline opts. It can sound a bit jarring.

Jo Malin just confirmed at the end of the lunchtime bulletin tonight is the night. Elizabeth Glinka will launch the new set at 18.30 tonight.

In a shock to no one, the new set is the same as EMT’s. Picture quality is still dire.
