I can't imagine that tape was produced for broadcast given the captions on screen at the very end.

Wasn’t he an LWT executive or head of department at that time? Presenting The Noise? Not sure why he’d want to be presenting on a little watched cable channel.
I guess that clip means that Talk TV at least has left some sort of legacy (well, alongside the proto-Ali G and Borat on F2F).

I have seen a clean, stereo Galaxy ident on Youtube before in SD (I think it was the last ever ident, full clean playout with a 'doof' and zoom out added at the end at broadcast. This could be that run through AI.

If we're thinking of the same source, there was also this clip of Sasha filling in time on F2F...

The 1991 Christmas episode of Corrie, with the Queen's speech in the middle:

I saw both the Granada Plus and ITV3 repeats of this, and they both handled it differently- Granada Plus swapped around the scenes with Alf turning on the TV and Mike & Alma in the cafe and put in an ad break, ITV3 left those scenes in order but cut out the scene of Alf turning the TV off. The G+ airing also had a different piece of music on Alf's TV rather than the 1989 ITV generic music heard here (and on ITV3).

Reg Sanders (former BBC announcer) has uploaded behind the scenes footage of a recent North West Tonight bulletin and it’s build up to opting out of the network:

A Channel 4 closedown that goes straight into the IBA transmitter generated fault caption- presumably someone pulled the plug at Charlotte Street too early

Somebody in the comments for that video suggests Channel 4 had power problems earlier in the nigh and were running late. That may have been the scheduled time for the power off, as the schedule at this link ->
tvrdb.com suggests the whole operation would be off the air by 1:10am.

John Livesey's sign-off alludes to power problems earlier that evening - and indeed, closedown was a few minutes later than billed.
There was also a further apology the following Friday to fill in the plot gaps to Cheers that viewers had missed.

It's a very peculiar way of doing things. There was no mention in Colin Weston's continuity announcement that the Queens Speech will be contained within Corrie. And with an unrecognisable announcer introducing it, it almost seems as if it could be a parody. I'm sure viewers were conflicted between watching a new episode of Corrie (though at 2.50 in the afternoon it could almost be confused for a repeat?!) or traditionally watching the Queen. I wouldn't be surprised if ITV viewers switched over to BBC1 at that point to make definitely sure they were watching The Queens official broadcast.
It's quite telling that that episode bombed in the ratings and was a practice never repeated again.
