Doctor Who

RTD is just doing what he knows works. I don’t think it’s anything to do with Chibnall’s era, he’s even used elements of it.

There is one difference though. Wouldn't that be the first Christmas Special not written by the current showrunner?

Something coming tomorrow apparently.

Will be around two months until the first episode of the next series, so a trailer is possible though I get the vibe of something different with that post.

Or maybe we will get a special trailer or clip during Comic Relief night?

The first two episodes will drop at midnight BST on May 11th on iPlayer, before airing as a double bill ahead of Eurovision that evening on BBC One. All following episodes will also first arrive at midnight on iPlayer.

A big effort to avoid spoilers. Don't think many hardcore fans will be happy with that.

So, it would seem part of the Disney deal is that they get the right to show it first. I don't know how i feel about that. I get why, as Disney did pump some money into the show, but it should premiere the same time in the UK

The Disney release will happen at the same time as the iPlayer drop in the UK.

Yes it's so that the US get it released in the daytime / early evening. So it messes up the UK premiere / broadcast window.

Of course the priority should be the UK release but that's the deal that's been done.
