WJET (ABC) and WFXP (Fox), Nexstar/Mission Broadcasting's duopoly in Erie, officially debuted their new set a few days ago. They had been in a temp set from April until mid-July.

A good decision to move the show back to New York. The Saturday edition just didn't feel like Today from DC, even though they revamped it to try to give it a studio 1A-style look.
The fact is, studio 1A and the plaza are such a big part of Today's identity that I'm not sure it really works from anywhere else.

WAVY has unveiled its new set and graphics. The graphics look cheap (unlike the other Rey Rodriguez designs for Nexstar), but the set looks very impressive and much more up-to-date compared to their previous set, even if the designs are clearly based in Nexstar design elements. Their well-known Newswire theme has survived the changes too (although we might not discard a future switch to a Stephen Arnold Music package, like they did recently with WOOD, which dropped Primetime News last year in favor of Stream, leaving the Spectrum Florida channels as sole holdovers):

Back to CBS, more stations are switching to the updated ticker designs implemented by KOVR and KPIX. This time, it is WFOR and KCNC, although their implementation looks very odd (pictures from TVNewsTalk):

I'm glad Wavy got to keep their music, and kept their Wavy logo. The Set looks really nice.

Here's a clip of WAVY's debut 10pm show on their new set. Show starts at 3:47 in this video, there were commercials before the open and they were having technical issues which delayed the start of the newscast.
