Challenge TV

It was done in less than 30 mins before, why double that to add nothing of substance?

Adverts. The longer the show the more adverts ITV can put in it. One break for a 30 minute programme, three for an hour.

Although for all the good that does, it was reported recently that ITV ad revenue has dropped by 10% on the previous six months:

The vast majority of ITV breaks now are just promotion for ITVX. I do wonder why they never pushed ITV Hub in this way.

ITV Hub was merely a catch up service, ITVX is a destination in itself, more than just catch-up.

They've changed the entire business model around it, hence the push.

Yeah, think about it. At one time, when a new Doctor Who series was shown, for example, BBC iPlayer would have the episodes up for 30 days. A few years ago, that changed, and all episodes from 2005's Rose onwards are on iPlayer with no time limit. When ITV Hub was replaced by ITVX, ITV started doing the same thing - shows are up there as boxsets, not just as catch up. BritBox also merged with it, which is funny as that means a lot of older BBC shows are on there in the Premium tier, including 1963-96 Doctor Who. ITV Hub's premium service was merely an ad-free option.

That's great! Nice to see it back on the channel.

I've also noticed Challenge are running another new series from the 7th August - 11th August, a British Sign Language show called Sign2Win which if I remember correctly is also on Together TV (Community Channel).

The episodes are half hour long, so it should be David Frost, as Lemon’s version was an hour long.

And it's at 4pm, which wouldn't be the case for the Lemon version though it was quite tame compared to Celebrity Juice and more enjoyable than I thought it would be - though I wish he'd created some alternative characters to do the house tour part.

Not really a guessing game when the TV schedules give away the names of the stars is it!
