Lots of regional staff are considered bi or tri-media and work across multiple outlets.

The News Channel does (or did) sometimes use reports from regional reporters, so there may be some slight impact

BBC London sometimes uses reporters from BBC Radio London who are tri-media for VTs.

When I've dipped into other regional bulletins, I've seen some VTs from radio reporters as well.
