3/11 & 10/11/94 are both skipped.
Why are 3/11 and 10/11/94 both being skipped?

R Kelly on the first (presumably not in a position easy to edit out) and Gary Glitter as the end credits playout on the second.

Maybe they should show some older episodes with Tina Turner in them instead then - she just died.

I've watched the first three editions of TOTP2, and interesting to note how they handled the clips from that week's TOTP- on the first show they use their own style captions (which were different on the first episode to the rest of the run), but on episodes 2 and 3 they use the normal TOTP captions on that week's TOTP clips (but their own captions on the rest of the show)- I seem to remember they went back to using their own style captions on that week's TOTP clips after a while.
I don't recall any of the original format TOTP2s being repeated, but UKG2 definitely at one point showed the first Steve Wright series (which still used the same titles and captions of the Johnnie Stewart era, but had taken on the format of entirely archive clips).

Surely the end credits could be replaced with something generic or a set from a skipped week? Seems overkill to pull the whole episode because of the end credits.

Yeah, recreate the credits on a black screen (similar to ITV's generic style) and just play the theme tune. Job done.

You'd think, but they also simply skipped the episode when they had to skip a 'The Doors' song as the credits playout for copyright reasons.
I'm guessing it's because they announce who the playout is.

Though they had no problems re-keying the credits when they edited R Kelly out of a montage.

Can't that just be cut too? After the second to last song, cut straight to the credits.
