Gary Lineker/BBC Asylum Controversy

This thread is becoming very political which is rather unpleasant.

We're here to discuss pres, not debate the rights and wrongs of decisions regarding broadcaster employees or freelancers.

Can we please just stick to what the BBC will do regarding the pres of MOTD tomorrow?

Maybe it should be up to the admins to make the decision on what we can and cannot post and tell us if they think we're veering too far of allowed discussion.

Getting back to tonight's MOTD, I would be surprised if it ran for 80 minutes with there being no analysis.

They can only show a set amount of actual highlights and it all appears they might not be any interviews to show either so that might be another 5-10 mins off the running time.

It’s almost as if the entire thing surrounds politics! I honestly think this thread has been civil, not sure as to why it’s now being suddenly labelled as unpleasant or as if there’s been loads of rows…

Unfortunately the fact that there are senior members of the BBC who are connected to politicians make this story very much political.

The T&Cs are quite clear about what can be discussed on here.  If this hasn't veered off them, and is now seen as acceptable, then it's no longer a site for me.

Sadly the case, you would have to delete this entire thread which would be disappointing. None of us have really made a personal opinion politically.

In the nicest way possible - I think we should continue discussing what’s actually happening instead of letting the topic drift away to one person’s posting preferences.

A topic it's very hard to discuss without getting political to some degree, as it IS a political story.
