Crazy how long lived those bugs ended up being in the end. Bravo to all involved in them.

Yeah, the old Cbeebies logo lasted 21 years, 2002 to 2023. Nickelodeon's splat logo is probably the only one in kids TV that's lasted longer, as it was used in the US from 1984 to 2009, 25 years. However, Nick only launched in the UK in 1993 so it was only used for 17 years here (until 2010).

Cartoon Network's original logo was used for quite some time as I recall too.

The blobs taking the form of the BBC blocks is a very clever and cute concept! I love that - however looking at them so far, they seem a little more cheaper and tackier looking than cute. I wish they were executed better.
Don’t get me wrong either - they’re meant for the most forgiving audience of them all, and the previous blobs weren’t masterpieces in themselves, but considering what the Latin American version of the channel did (they were almost Duolingo illustration style and worked perfectly - modern and absolutely adorable) i’m kind of miffed to see these odd DeviantArt looking things with glassy eyes be the thing that graces our airwaves…
Can’t say that’s not how i’ve felt about most of the Chameleon rebrand though - I’ve warmed up to it a lot but much of it is half baked and leaves quite a bit to be desired.

The CBeebies Birthdays for today (which I think no longer airs on TV but i dunno) updated on the CBeebies website with the new look during the video. The rest of the site is the same.
www.bbc.co.uk
I've been accustomed to the "slimy" background over the years so it's odd not seeing it.
Also no bugs at the bit where all the presenters say "happy birthday!" at the end unlike the last incarnation.

Do you have any screenshots? I can't see them since I'm not in the UK.

Also worth a note that CBBC's studio links were all prerecorded yesterday while the studio was out of action.

The new backgrounds. Pretty much the same as the breakdown card we saw earlier (I assume that'll also be for promo endcards and such).
For comparison here's the old ones as captured by a friend of mine.
To be honest the new ones kinda look like Powerpoint presentations in my opinion. Also Ben's clip at the end was re-recorded to remove the bug. Rebecca's was re-recorded too.

I don't know how much of the studio's getting a facelift. Hacker's puppeteer confirmed it was getting some sort of makeover on a Instagram stream he did. We'll just have to see at around 7:30 or whenever the links start tomorrow.
