I concur. If you listen to the full Four Score suite I'm sure there are around 13 different sequences that can be used as ident jingles. I just don't know why they haven't used any of them - or why they've gone for the 'vomit green' colour for the logo.

So the soundtrack for the idents of today should be... the soundtrack from the idents of the 80s? I don't understand this thought process, take me through it if you could.

That was the other reason but figuring they've been using it recently it might not be that anymore. Anyway, motif is different from music as it is notes (like NBC's chimes) and not a composition as with music. On that basis, they should be using Fourscore as in those four notes, not the music.

They weren't all used and were quite varied. They're still using the same four notes for that dreadful jingle today, so I don't see what's wrong with using some from the original suite. Perhaps I'm just nostaglic.

Throwing my two cents here (and howdy all, long time lurker from the blue place.) I like the ident.

Like the simplicity and seems it has more in common with simple idents of yore, with just the logo in centre piece. Sensory colour choice and jingle, look forward to seeing the rest of the set!

Appear to have discovered that E4 Extra now has a "returns at 7.00am" screen at closedown, however still airs Teleshopping afterwards. Odd.
