During the credits of The Great House Giveaway, the ECP had a strange error where most of the background behind the text was missing, with a strange aliasing effect around the text where it would normally blend into the background.

It resolved itself once it animated to the next programme in the ECP.

Is there any examples of these idents playing not late at night or early in the morning?

As I've mentioned to Andrew elsewhere, they've been playing these out in random junctions for at least a few weeks now. I've seen it pop up at least once in the now 6.30pm The Simpsons junction.

A nice little thing on the face of it. But the cynic in me can't help but feel it still feels a bit of a token effort to try and make out they care after those weeks/months where they were running without any accessible services after the Red Bee incident. Hopefully they've changed the practices in their DR plans to actually ensure it has more equal prominence since.

Not sure if it's a purely SD issue, but I've noticed watching E4 and 4seven on Freeview recently that promos for the main channel have white aliasing around the text.

Seems to be some sort of problem with the EPG data for E4 HD on Sky today. All day is simply listed as “E4 Preview” in 6 hour blocks until 6am tomorrow morning

Christmas promo spotted on More4 last night - no different to the last few years' design.

Be interesting to see if C4 go back to being scrooges or have something with their new look for the promos at least. Not expecting anything in the main ident style but might be something in the cube style.

For me their Christmas Lights ident is the best Christmas ident of the last decade.

I've often wondered about that ident. I'm sure it's most likely computer generated. But the way they have gone to the trouble of having the unlit lights visible as well has always hinted that it might have been a real set up.
